Hawk Blower Swing Arm

I'm not lazy but... I cannot leave good things alone. When doing lots of clamping and un-clamping adjusting the lock line each time becomes irritating. I made a simple swing arm. This allows me to just swing the lock line away from the blade. It has a stop so it always swings back to it's original setting. Easy Peasy

Hi Brad. Just a few inches of 3/4 inch aluminum angle. No holes to drill on the Hawk, just a couple in the aluminum angle.

I like your idea, Sir! I'm gettin' ready to start a fair sized project for a ranch here in the county. They want a plaque made for the celebration of their 100th year in the Herford cattle business. I may steal your idea for my 226!;)

That's nice.. I like it.. To solve that problem on my two Hawks..I removed about half of the links in the blower line.. Those Hawks have a nice bellows compared to any other saw I've used.. angled just right it'll blow the dust off the saw next to me.. so I see no real need to have the blower line right next to the blade like the other saws.. But at times even that short piece of line-loc I have will get in the way.. I may have to try your idea.   thanks for sharing it.

How about a couple more pics showing exactly what you did? I don't have a Hawk but it might benefit many others of us who want to do something similar.
