johnnyo Posted August 6, 2018 Report Posted August 6, 2018 I'm making scroll saw bowls. Been gluing them together then spraying or brushing Urethane on them. but it's hard to sand them between coats once they are glued together as a basket or bowl. cn I do the Urethane on each piece and then glue them together? I also do some with Butcher Block oil and Feed and wax. Can these be done before glue up? thanks Quote
NC Scroller Posted August 6, 2018 Report Posted August 6, 2018 Wood glues work best when they can soak into the wood. If the urethane gets on the surfaces being glue it can compromise the bond. I recommend you glue first. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
