Fretwork box

Lately I've been trying some boxmaking inspired by other's efforts on here.  This is cut from old rimu drawer sides as usual, finished with shellac and beeswax.  25 x 15 x 8cm or 10 x 6 x 3 inches approx.

I was thinking of adding a thin plywood panel under the fretwork but haven't quite decided.

I use veneer wood.  It really looks nice and you can stain it or not.
