Out of the rain, into the shop.

I have been trying to get a bunch of projects done outside, so I haven't had much time at the saw lately. There was on and off rain all day yesterday so I decided to cut a quick project. Steve Good pattern, walnut with a pine base. Cut with F/D #5 skip reverse. Finished with spray lacquer.

A fun Halloween project. These patterns are have a fun and useful idea, and quick and easy to cut. Perfect for the beginner as well as the long time scroller, as they are also very useful for gifts to friends and family as a good seller at the crafts shows.

That was my thought when I went through my stack of patterns, find something quick and easy instead of diving into another 20 hour fret work piece. I have to remember to take the time for these simple little projects. They are a nice warm up when you have been away from the saw for awhile as well.
