Frank Pellow
I made this for my niece Becky: The pattern is by Steve Good and I purchased the clockworks from Bear Woods. This is my first clock and I found it VERY EASY to install. The background was cut from 12mm thick Cherry and the scissor-comb overlay was cut from 6mm thick Baltic birch plywood. lawson56, meflick, amazingkevin and 6 others

JTTHECLOCKMAN
Very nicely done. I am sure she will like that. I just recently went through all of Steve's patterns and pulled out ones that will interest me. That was one of them. Will go with my worker theme. he does nice work. Thanks for showing. jollyred
Well done. I plan on making that pattern for my grandson-in-law, who is a barber. Will make it later this year and give it to him for a Christmas present.

Frank Pellow
Thanks everyone! I'm now thinking of designing similar clocks for other occupations and hobbies. I welcome suggestions. Cheers, Frank Edited September 10, 2018 by Frank Pellow

I like desk type clocks and had a few made up from designers here. Simple forms. I have also asked Steve Good a couple times to see if he would do a few and as of yet has not. I would be interested in areas such as the trades because I get requests all the time and have to tell them I have nothing because I am not a designer or pattern maker. Have done some over the years but nothing extrodinary. I would like to see trades such as Electrician, Carpenter, Plumber, Iron worker, Mason, Teacher, Secretary, Lawyer, Landscaper, Barber, Accountant, Auto mechanic, and so forth. Good luck. heppnerguy
I saw the clock on Steve Good's page and I quite simply was not very impressed with this pattern. But now I see that one just needs to give it a go and use a little imagination and a lot of what does not appeal to someone on his page, just might change ones' mind after it is indeed made. This is the case for me here. You make this clock turn into a piece that Steve was envisioned when her made and posted this pattern. I looks great now Dick heppnerguy

So far between a couple I had done here, some of Steve's which I am reworking and some of hers I do have a nice grouping but always open for more interpretations. heppnerguy

John B
Love that Frank, I can see you being inundated with orders if that was hung in a salon or Barbers.

Thanks John. But, since I am not seeking orders, the only salon that I will make one for is the salon in which my niece Becky works.
