Nice job, Roly. It looks like a true winner for your Christmas decorations. I was eyeing this pattern but decided it used too much wood for my supply and I have a pretty good sized wedding project coming up soon. So maybe another time for me.  You did make me rethink my plans a little though

Pretty neat.  Are you going to attach a little light in the back so light shines through the stars?

Funny you should say that my wife said that yesterday and I'm looking for a single led with battery any ideas where to buy them I've been looking at dolls house lights.

Looks very good!

Does anyone  you know where I can find a similar 'multi-layered' pattern that does not have a religious theme?

I'd like to see some as well. these are an idea https://www.dhgate.com/store/product/laser-cut-wood-christmas-ornaments-large/418871730.html

I love their description, I think it can only be one or the other, "Laser or rustic handmade" :)

Heaps of ideas here, Don't know if any are free patterns though.

Umm looks easy enough to make you own patterns a few trees a couple of animals and a santa reindeer three levels. 🤔🤨Roly

Maybe for you.

Here is my try at a 4 layered scene.  I have not cut yet but if anyone has any comments please let me know.  I will cut from BB later today.  The pdf has and extra blank layer.

UPDATE - CUT MY FIRST LAYER AND THE 4 INCHES LOOKS BIG.  NEXT TIME I AM GOING TO REDUCE 10%.

 brilliant.

I certainly should be able to find something there.

When I asked my question about multi-layered patters, I was not thinking of restricting such patterns to the Yuletime season.

Steve Good has a couple of non religious layered patterns.  Just search for "Layered" in the pattern catalogue.
