Popular Post spirithorse Posted September 21, 2018 Popular Post Report Posted September 21, 2018 Thanks to Don in Brooklin for a wonderful pattern for some newlyweds. About 16" x 6 1/2". 1/4" Baltic Birch stained Golden Oak and glued to a 3/4" pine backer painted black. Sealed with several coats of Polyurethane for weather protection. I'll add two eye screws with a brass colored chain in case they display it out-side and a wooden easel in case they display it in-doors. Comments or helpful criticism welcomed. Thanks again, Don! God Bless! Spirithorse Scrappile, bobscroll, stoney and 7 others 10 Quote

Frank Pellow Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Very nice? Don, do you have a program that can be used to design such signs? Quote
don in brooklin on Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Frank I use Inkscape. Travis did a video on doing this. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/12658-word-art-intersecting-word-art-with-inkscape/ Jerry also did a cheat sheet. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/16735-cheat-sheet-for-inkscape-interassecting-word-art-101/?tab=comments#comment-161428 I don't do exactly as I usually use a script font called Scroll Script MT instead of Bird of Paradise in the video. That way I don't have to do the bridges but have used various fonts. If you have any you need, let me know as it takes about 2 - 3 innings of a ball game to do pattern. You don't have to restrict it to names. I did one for my daughter lacrosse team and have done this Guelph in background and name in front for a friends daughter when she got accepted.. Quote
stoney Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 I really like the pattern Don made for you and the excellent job of cutting. Thanks for showing us. Quote
