I work in health care and now that you mention it this comb design could very well allow people with significant physical defects comb there hair with some sense of independence and dignity as long as they had good dexterity in the shoulder and arm. You should cut a couple and drop them in and see if it helps others with their grip if it does you could well be onto a thing there my friend .
