Walking Animals

Good morning Katie. This is a crude little kangaroo I made from instructions from "Instructibles." These little critters can be seen on You Tube searching for walking toy animals or something like it. They are fun little buggers and little kids would love them. They walk down an inclined plane.

Les, ran across some today while looking at Paul Meisel's  site for different plans for something else.  They seem to have a few different options for your walking animals.  I did a search for "Pull-Toy" as that is what they call them on their site and it appears they have a number.  Just click through to see them here: https://www.meiselwoodhobby.com/SearchResults.aspx?terms=Pull-Toy

I have that same roo on my desk. It reminds me of being a kid and the Weeties boxes had these animals inside in the form of a kit. You pressed them together and they would wobble their way down an incline or there was a small  plastic medal which you tied to the animal via a length of cotton. You'd then place the medal over the edge of a table and it would make the animal walk towards it as gravity pulled down. The Animal always stopped on the edge and never fell. Magic to a little bloke :)

@Rockytime Les, besides the others we have provided above - I also just found a couple of "bonus" patterns for a bunny and a kitten on the Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts site here:

http://scrollsawer.com/2014/01/10/creating-pull-toy-friends-bonus-patterns/

Apparently, there is a dog pattern that was provided in the Spring 2014 Edition (Issue 54) of the magazine if you have that edition or the CDs. Then these two were "bonus" patterns added to their website.
