Lastchance
I have been talking with my children and explaining that they need to gather up all their slightly used toys and clothes. I have said that they need to get them ready for Santa to pick them up. Santa takes the clothes and toys, fixes them up at his magical workshop and gives them back to other children for the holidays. I have told them that this is the season of giving and that helping each other should be something that we all enjoy doing. With that said, my youngest boy asked, "Dad, do you work for Santa? Your always fixing everyones stuff." I just smiled and said, I was given the gift of knowledge so I can help others fix things that are broken. Later that day, as I walked through our kitchen, I overheard him telling his older sister "Dad's an elf" I have been smiling about his comment ever since Chance
Vector01
That's wonderful It's great to teach the younger kids about giving to others Cherish the moments. They grow up quick... Now you have to pick up a pair of green tights, curly toe shoes and a red hat That would really shock them Xmas morning

Travis
That's a cute story. That would make my day too. I like the idea of Santa picking up toys for other little kids. We have too many toys. That would be a great way to lighten the toy load.
wombatie
What a wonderful story, it would certainly warm the cockles of your heart, even if you were Scrooge. Marg
