Popular Post John B
Took this one out of my standard frame and made a "Colonial" frame for it as per customers wishes. I can't remember who made the pattern. Edited October 27, 2018 by John B typo frankorona, Scrolling Steve, jollyred and 7 others 9

John B
Thanks all, This frame is quite popular on Western type cuttings. It's a bit more work than a standard mitred frame but pretty easy to do. I cut the pieces to length, mark out and cut half-lap joints by setting the blade on the table saw at 1/2 the thickness of the timber. I then use the wheel on my belt sander to texture the face edges. Glue the frame together and cut the rebate in the back with a router. heppnerguy
Great piece.. You make it sound like an easy frame. but for me, the simplest frame are always an extreme challenge. I really like your work on this one Dick heppnerguy John B
