Rockytime
Not surprising. There are too many of them too close together. I have two Loews and two HDs. They are across the street from each other. My home is between them about three miles either way. Just like Wally World. They're thicker than 7-11s. OCtoolguy
They are closing all the Orchard Hardware stores in the country. They are owned by Lowes. Maybe they spent too much money sponsoring Jimmy Johnson. SCROLLSAW703
trackman
In my Lowe’s in Muncie Indiana you have to have a search warrant to find someone to help you. kmmcrafts, SCROLLSAW703 and tomsteve
tgiro
Lowes current CEO is the guy who almost destroyed the JC Penny's company. I guess he's starting to work on Lowes now. tomsteve and SCROLLSAW703 1

Woodmaster1
In the ft Wayne Indiana area we have three lowes north, south and central. It's amazing that the prices on some items is cheaper at the on that is harder to get too. Now that they are going to carry craftsmen tools I will have to make to shop there.(lol)
JAC1961
Like others said, it's not hard to believe considering the density of home improvement stores in most locations. Lowes used to be my go-to, but I've generally switched to Menards. I think the lumber quality is better and I just wait for the 11% off. tomsteve

ACE is my favorite hardware store. havent been into one that didnt have knowledgeable employees to assist. i was building an aux oiler for a chainsaw mill, needed a compression fitting, and went to lowes first. knew it would be in plumbing but couldnt locate them. plumbing "assistant" hadnt ever heard of one. i walked out. drove to ace, walked in and greeted with an employee asking if the could help me find something. "compression fittings." off we went. told him what i was doing, understood what i was doing, and helped me by suggesting a little change in the plans.
