OCtoolguy Posted November 7, 2018 Report Posted November 7, 2018 Another question just popped into my head. Is there any lubrication required on the flex shaft? I envision something like the old speedo cables that needed occasional lubing with graphite grease. Scrappile 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted November 7, 2018 Report Posted November 7, 2018 Good question. I read if lubricating the flex shafts for other rotary tools like Foredom and such. I have never lubricated my Dremel one and maybe I should.... OCtoolguy 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted November 7, 2018 Report Posted November 7, 2018 This is the set I bought. I wasn't really expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised. And for what they cost I thought I'd take a chance. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075C72PGK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 BadBob 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 Well, I just went to H/D and picked up my Wen set and I must say, I'm impressed. I plugged it in and ran it both with the flex shaft and without. I don't see how it could be any better. I'm sorry that Steve Good's had some runout. Mine doesn't. Now, maybe after some use it will loosen up but that's to be expected I guess. I'm very happy and for $20, I don't see how you can go wrong. kmmcrafts 1 Quote

Thanks Ray, I think I might purchase one.. maybe not for the drill press but I'm sure I'd use it on many other things anyway.. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
