amazingkevin Posted November 15, 2018 Report Posted November 15, 2018 The man at Walmart I converse with basically uses a lathe for his hobby interests. Last chat he tells me the motor is going and he's going to throw it away. Right off he thru the legs away when he first got it. The price is eight to get my feet wet on a wood lathe. I used a metal one on a place I worked doing aluminum 6" round pads for the legs on tuna towers for boats. It was fun and found shortcuts centering them before shaving them.I asked if he could throw it my way and his answer was music to my ears.. YES!! I thought the table saw was scary, this machine is deadly! Hopefully, any motor will get me going, bobscroll 1 Quote

rjR Posted November 16, 2018 Report Posted November 16, 2018 Hope that all turns out well for you. I do enjoy the sorties to my mini-lathe. I bought it to make toy parts, and use it occasionally. As I get better at it I will use it more, I am sure. Enjoy the new toy. SHARP=== Sharp===SHARP tools work the best! amazingkevin 1 Quote
