wombatie
To the person who's idea it was to spread the glue onto greaseproof paper and drop the to be glued piece onto it I would like to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You have been a God send. I have had so many Aussie football plaques to do and if it was not for this piece of advice I would be screaming by now. So once again, THANK YOU. OCtoolguy
I must have missed that little tidbit of advice. Can you fill in the blanks so I understand what you mean?
wombatie
Ray you spread glue thinly onto a piece of greaseproof paper and the drop the piece that you are wanting to glue onto it, then when you place the glued piece on to the backer you won't get glue oozing out from the sides. Well that's my version of how its supposed to work. Marg OCtoolguy

kmmcrafts
Yep, It was Jerry.. I was one that didn't have any of that (wax paper? ) and used a trash bag.. as it was double the purpose.. I spread glue on one of my plastic trash bags and then do the process.. I figure I'm going to through out the trash bag anyway.. so.. why use an added thing to the landfill, LOL either way you do it.. it works great and is much faster when you have a lot of backers to glue up.. OCtoolguy
I must be dense. I don't get the advantage of doing it that way. I have always either spread the glue with a glue brush or applied glue to one side and then rubbed the second piece around until it too is covered. I'll have to give this a try to see what you'all are talking about.
Roberta Moreton
It seems it would be too much. I use a small brush and I don’t worry about getting every single spot covered. ? OCtoolguy
