JT1986
How do you guys sand inside small angles? I’ve read a good technique is to adhere sandpaper to things such as a nail filer, etc? I’d love to here how you guys smooth out hard to reach areas. Jeff OCtoolguy
fredfret
I use needle files. I try to use blades that leave a smooth cut to eliminate as much sanding as possible. I also have a set of diamond burrs for my dermal tool but very seldom use them. crupiea and OCtoolguy 1

WayneMahler
I use a combination of things. Sand paper attach to a thin piece of wood, needle files and sometime just sand paper folded to the shape I need to work on. Scrappile
All of the above mentioned. OCtoolguy
browders
I use all of the above. Additionally, I've found that a stiff bristled toothbrush will remove many fuzzies from a project. Jim OCtoolguy
dgman
All of the above when needed, but I strive to get a clean and smooth cut that does not need sanding. With the correct blade and cutting technique, I rarely need to sand or shape my cuts. OCtoolguy
Rockytime
I use a sanding mop which cleans most fuzzies. I also use pattern files as well as cosmetic sanding strips which I split with a knife. Unfortunately I waited two years before I broke down and got the mop. OCtoolguy
Ok, I am trying to do all the things that have already been mentioned. I was thinking of buying a few sizes of very small dowel wood and use pieces of those with sandpaper wrapped around them. Another idea has found it's way into my thick skull. Have any of you ever paid any attention to the rechargeable toothbrushes that are out there? I was brushing my teeth a while back and the idea struck me that if you were to take an old one and fashion the brush end somewhat to hold an abrasive medium to it, it might be just the ticket to getting into nooks and crannies with a gentle approach. I'm in the process right now of making something that has a lot of twists and turns that need to been cleaned up so I have been thinking on the solution. I'm going to start hitting the Goodwill/thrift stores and see if I can find a used toothbrush.

Fran L
When I started, I stole a few of my wife's emery boards- same effect as a needle file- can trim it to a point to get real tight places. Different grit on each side. OCtoolguy and Jim McDonald

I probably won't ask for one. I'll just cruise the aisles and see if one jumps out. Maybe I'll look for one on C/L too. Well, up jumped the devil. Here is a link to a youtube video and there are many. Edited December 3, 2018 by octoolguy

Doc58
What sort of blades are you using? Just curious because I usually use reverse or double cut blades that leave no frizzies because they cut on the way up and on the way down. I'm way too lazy to sand edges. stoney
I have used all of the methods mentioned. I also turned an old Sonicare electric toothbrush into a small detail sander.
barb.j.enders
Have used most of these methods. Will have to try the toothbrush!!! Don't know if it was mentioned, but I glue a piece of sandpaper to a ceramic tile to achieve some flat sanding!!

ShadowB6
As others do, I do the same. Needle files and a sanding mop. Amazon.ca has a very cheap sanding mop that sells for $7.90 Canadian. However it does comes from China and arrives in 4 to 6 weeks. But for the price it works great. I just ordered 3 more of them last week.
