kywoodmaster
Sure looks like it to me. I have a few boards that have the same look. OCtoolguy
jollyred
Hit it with a hammer. If it leaves a dent in the hammer, that is osage orange. Scrolling Steve, OCtoolguy and tomsteve 2
Gonzo
Nope , this is Osage, a small town in north central Minnesota. (The picture that says, Eat here, get gas & worms). Population 150? We vacation on Straight Lake, just a stones throw from Osage. Name of the place is Osage Bait and Taclke. Good burgers and cold beer. Picture credit goes to Karl, who posted the picture 11/21 in Coffee House, under Signs. Sorry Jim, I couldn't resist. I thought it might have something to do with the Osage Indians and their story from Oklahoma. Very sad story. tomsteve
fredfret
Bois de arc or wood of the bow. The plains Indians used it for making their bows. Yes the Osage orange name comes from that tribe. OCtoolguy
JimErn
Hey Gonzo, that was cute, we have an Osage in Texas too, of course it is a ghost town now but still on the map OCtoolguy
