Popular Post Toothpick
I’ve got an old beater truck that I put new speakers in. Today I made speaker covers. Sketched it out in about 2 minutes. Spent about 10 cutting it out. Another 2 screwing them on. Badda bing. Speakers are protected! Literally did not care what they looked like since it’s an old beater - 1997 Ford Ranger. I’m the only one that drives it and it’s got a few other cosmetic issues. It’s just my “fun” truck do anything to truck. My goal was to get them cut and put on as quickly as I could. New Pioneer speakers and stereo are LOUD! lawson56, spotsdad, Scrolling Steve and 8 others

Jim McDonald
Just spray some outdoor grade poly on them and rock on! Sold a lot of Pioneer back in the 70s and 80s. The SuperTuner was a very sensitive radio with good filters.

Toothpick
Yeah, maybe some spray paint would take it up a notch. I have some Orange colored spray paint Ivan Nikolaev and jerrye
daveww1
I love my 2010 Ranger, I bought it new and it's been a very good truck. I just replaced the original battery, it lasted for 9 years. The speaker covers should be painted to match the interior.

wombatie
At least it does the job you wanted it for, just don't tell anyone who get in the truck that you made them Marg
Toothpick
So here’s a funny story. All happened within about 5 seconds. I pull up at work today and I have to scan my badge to open the gate. It’s dark at 5am still. Crank windows right...well I try to roll down and it won’t move. “Hmm darn beater, guess the window is stuck now”. So I try a bit harder and *CRUNCH* “OH WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!...hmmm window rolls down just fine. And back up just fine? That was weird. I guess it fixed itsel...... Ohhhhhhhh yeahhhhhh” Guess this was a sign to make a better one!
