I think it is a violation of copyright.  I looked up a couple of books on Amazon and you can still buy them.

I wonder if this guy has permission to resell or redistribute these books and patterns. Somehow I doubt it. 

Even if it is a great deal I wouldn't give him a cent.

The give away, well in my mind, that is a illegal bootleg copy is this statement in the description.  "This CD-Rom Was lovingly created By Myself And Comes On a PLAIN DISK & PLASTIC COVER".

One is always tempted by such ads.  Such a great deal but I think of it as theft of intellectual property.

And he is only charging $14 and change (USD) and that includes shipping. Most of those books cost more then $14.

I just went on line to convert £ to $  and it's $5.23. Mmm, I think I'll report him to the powers that be. x

Apparently if I'm not the person to hold the copyright I can do nothing. I would have to contact whoever wrote the books and tell them

Most of the scroll saw books are published by Fox Chapel here in the U.S. it is illegal what he is trying to sell!

Have emailed Fox Chapel and given them the link. Lets see if the big dogs bite   I'd love to see this little reprobate get his come uppance.

With all that said and I agree how the heck did he do this??? Some of those books are from the beginning of scrolling days. There are no CD's out of each and every book listed. Something is fishy to begin with and to charge that small amount. Lets say there was a way of doing this, imagine the time and money spent to do this.

It's sad to see ads like this. I have several of those books and they are worth the read and patterns. But this is completely illegal and just totally not right.

I have scanned a couple books to my computer. But would never attempt to sell them. That is theft plain and simple.

He's just a thief hiding behind ebay shows they don't care what's sold on there site. Don't have anything against free stuff being shared but now selling it.

Once you buy the book, you own the rights to that book for your own personal use.  Scanning/copying is not a problem, as long as you don't go and sell those scans/copies for your own profit.  There may be a blurb in a book regarding cutting some of the patterns and then selling the finished projects, but that would be in the book itself.

Not only can you not sell copies but you can not give them away.
