fretwork design pattern tutorials

Hey all, i am looking to find a tutorial, cd, etc, on how to make a fretwork design pattern, i have no idea on how to get started, only thing i can do is fretworked names/signs, but im lookig forward to designing , if any one can help, let me know, thanks

Do you currently have a graphic/photo-editing package? .ie. Photoshop Elements, CorelDraw or are you after a tutorial for one of the free packages out there .ie. GIMP?

You can check out the courses in the Village University forum. There's a GIMP tutorial on making portrait style patterns. There's also an Inkscape tutorial on how to make just about everything else.

Brett, yeah i have gimp, thats how i do portrait patterns with and fretwork names and signs,
