What I know if Don ( Old crow scrollwerks) is that he was a older gentleman and had been retired.. keeping up with his house and all and the declining health of his wife etc.. they moved into a retirement home... with limited internet access.. He talked about still running the pattern site as best he could but he would have limited internet and he didn't know how well it would go.. That is the last I've heard from him... that was about a year ago I believe.. He's a great guy to deal with and I really don't think he'd rip you for your money on purpose anyway..

I used to deal with him a lot on custom patterns but when he put out that notice I stopped because my pattern request are usually about something for a customer that I need to have in a timely manor..

How long has it been since you made the purchase? Maybe he only checks in once very week or two since he has limited internet?

I don't know how he has his website set up.  But if it's automated, your pattern should arrive in your email inbox.  I know sometimes when people buy my patterns, the email with the link to the pattern gets stuck in the spam filter.  So be sure to check there, too.

Checking his website again, I bet he sends it out manually.  I'd still check your spam filter, just in case.

For sure Travis. It's really strange what goes there and what gets through. I check mine on a daily basis just to be sure.

It appears the Helmut Schibbogen part is still working.  I emailed them and received a message back saying those patterns were still available.  They did not answer about Don's patterns.  I have sent another email to see if they missed that part of the question.

@Sharon Camille Craig, @Travis, yesterday I email this address from the Old Crow Scrollwerks site: "helmuthurtich@gmail.com" asking the following question:

"Do you know if you can still purchase the Old Crow scroll saw patterns.  I belong to ScrollSaw Village forum and there is discussion there because a lady placed an order for an Old Crow Scrollwerks pattern, she never received it and gets no response to her inquiries about it.  I sent an inquiry the The Old Crow email address and have not heard back."

This morning I had the following response:

"Hello Paul D. Of course you can still order and buy samples with me. The lady may get in touch with me. All my buyers were runum satisfied. we will find a solution"

I think the respondent is a relative of the late Helmut  that made the patterns and was a member of this ScrollSaw Village.

Sharon you might email him and see what happens.

If this is the same site that has the pattern of the Union Pacific locomotive "Big Boy" it may not be online anymore. About a year ago I had requested a pattern to be made from a photo and I received an email back stating that it would be awhile before he would be able to do up a pattern as his wife had just passed away the day before after receiving my request. It was about a month later that he sent the pattern online. The gentleman used to comment once in awhile over on the Scrollers Café, but haven't seen any activity for some time.

I placed an order through the site (oldcrowscrollwerks.com) on February 14th and even made a payment through PayPal and received confirmation of my order.  Since it takes virtually no time to email stock patterns in jpeg and 11 days have gone by I have grown concerned and called PayPal.  The agent at PayPal says it appears the "merchant" has some action that they need to accomplish so it appears something is not working right.  I think I am going to cancel my purchase with PayPal and look for another source.

Latest update. I heard back from Helmuth, he said that was not his website so he wouldn't be able to help. Apparently Don just sold some of his patterns on oldcrow. So, sadly, looks like I'm dead in the water again. Worth trying the lead though.

Sharon how did you pay?  If by Paypal or credit card you can contact the company and tell that you never received your order and you have contacted the seller with no response.  You should not have to pay for what you never received.

Yes, thanks. I was just trying to exhaust all avenues first. I really wanted those patterns. Guess I'll call them though.
