Popular Post Denny Knappen Posted February 5, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted February 5, 2019 I purchased the Bowl C-30 pattern from the Etsy site of Alex Fox. I enlarged the pattern by 25%. The wood is solid 1/4" Cherry 10 inch square. I used #68 drill bit and #1 FD UR blades. I finished with a spray coat of Shellac. The most time consuming was the glue up. glue a ring, let dry for 30 minutes, and glue another ring. While waiting for the glue to dry, I cut three Miniature Birdhouse Ornaments. Comments welcome. Denny Knappen Posted February 5, 2019 Author Report Posted February 5, 2019 Thanks Paul. When sanding the bottom ring on the mac mop, the ring blew apart in three pieces. I was able to glue them in place on the ring above. amazingkevin and meflick 1 1 Quote

trackman Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 Denny would CA glue with activator work? Quote

I made quite a few baskets for Christmas presents. I filled them with scrolled ornaments, but I also was not sure what they were good for. My wife took two and filled then with potpourri. My beach loving next door neighbor filled hers with seashells. Just a couple of ideas. Here’s two with potpourri, one of Alex Fox’s and one of Steve Good’s. Though beautiful, I have found Alex’s baskets to be a bit fragile to make out of solid wood. Or at least I haven’t found the perfect wood yet. Even high quality BB plywood is a bit fragile. By the way, Steve Good lasered the Lords Prayer around the top on one those baskets of his! Quote
wombatie Posted February 6, 2019 Report Posted February 6, 2019 That looks terrific Denny. I agree will Paul put candy in it..... Marg Quote

That is why I increased the pattern by 25%, but it was still fragile. I will be more careful in sanding. Quote
