Popular Post Dave Monk Posted February 8, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted February 8, 2019 I am busy getting ready for the Denton County Art and Jazz Festival at the end of April. It's a three day show and the biggest I have done so far. It's hard to know what to expect. This is a new project that I just completed that I thought might be fitting. leshko, Phantom Scroller, Birchbark and 15 others 18 Quote

A couple weeks ago Hermit had posted a picture that I had admired his frame. He shared a video with me on making a miter sled. Before that I had always used my miter saw to make my frames. They came out OK but I am always looking for better ways. I made this frame with my new sled. Thanks for the compliment.d Quote
Hermit Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 Very nice Dave. Some day I'll attempt to learn inlay. Very nice looking frame also. Dave Monk 1 Quote
Gordster Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 You are the man Dave,,all beautiful, love the frame and the finish..that won't be on your table long. Dave Monk 1 Quote
oldhudson Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 Excellent work. I love the beading on the frame, the choice of contrasting woods, the cutting/fit and the way the grain works. Cathedral grain on the oak contrasting with the walnut running horizontally. It all works really well. Dave Monk 1 Quote
