Rolf
That would be me also!. I just signed up for a TIG welding class. I want to pull the motor from my TVR and have it tweaked a bit, and dynoed to squeeze a few more horses out of it. I also need to start an upstairs bath remodel. Plus all of the scrolling projects. I want to make. I also have some new embroidery software arriving today. Yes I have a Digital embroidery machine (inherited from my Mom). kmmcrafts and OCtoolguy 1
hotshot
I may suck at it, but I love TIG welding. I have a cheap Lotus Tig/Stick/Plasma cutter combo that has worked very well for both Stick and Tig. If I ever upgrade to a dedicated TIG machine, I'll probably go with the very well regarded/and reasonably priced AHP Alpha-Tig. Have fun in your class, I'm jealous. -----Randy Rolf and OCtoolguy

JTTHECLOCKMAN
Projects, wow. I have 5 for the IAP pen turning contests that need to be done by the 18th. My brother just added 3 new projects he wants done plus I owe him a pen and box that I have been working on for awhile. Have a house full of projects and spring is around the corner so yard work is nearing. Not enough time in the day but being retired does help. Jim McDonald
My "must cut" pattern pile is beginning to look like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. If I never print another pattern, I'm set for about three years of non-stop cutting. (Probably need enough wood to build a 5,000 sq. ft. house) OCtoolguy, meflick and Rolf

I did have to buy a few things in addition to the welder. Argon Gas cylinder, welding table, electrodes, rods new helmet, etc. It is almost like turning "all I need is !!!!!" Yet the biggest thing that is missing is time. The cartoon is perfect. I inherited the short attention span from my Mom. Wichman
Totally me unles I keep a tight rein. And today I meet with a local sawyer about new wood (local sourced hardwood cut to my specifications). Can't wait to retire and have more free time (that's sarcasm). Foxfold
I'm new to all this and even I've got a folder full of patterns. I've often wondered how many other people had. I thought it was just me
Rockytime
Collecting patterns is just another hobby in itself! Fran L
RabidAlien
Its dangerous to go to Pinterest and search "scroll saw pattern" or "woodworking" or pretty much anything related to house/shop upgrades.

Yeah, but can get expensive when you buy a lot of them and then never cut them.. The many awesome free ones offered here sure helps offset the cost some..but still... I had way more time to myself when I was working. I retired, my wife sort of retired but she demands more of my time now. Strange. And, I have a ton of patterns to cut out but the cost of wood is holding me back so before you retire, make sure of your income stream and how big your pot of gold is.
