Popular Post Scrappile
Got my Circus Train done. What a project. It was fun to cut the parts and put it all together, but like others, I do not know what to do with it now. It takes of a lot of space. If I made another I think I will make it at 70% or less. I added the extra par of horses because I think it looks better, thanks @rdatelle, for the idea. I did two other things different. I made the body pieces of the driver, horses and elephants out of 1/4" instead of 1/8". Just to give then a little more heft and I could cover the tabs on the horses sides. Not sure it was worth it, but I did it anyway. I also had to add the baby elephant. Like the extra pair of horses, it just seemed better with a baby elephant tagging after it's mamma. I also use very little CA glue, most things are glued together or in place with the Titebond Quick and Thick. Slowed me down a bit but I really don't like working with CA glue very much.. lawson56, Scrolling Steve, Dave Monk and 13 others
ChelCass
Quote If you have a local charity looking for donations this would be perfect. Something to consider. Scrappile
Gordster
Great job Paul...I am certain with your big heart, you will find a well deserving home for it.. Scrappile
Rob
That looks great and the extra pieces really do add to it. I know what you mean about where to keep it though. It would look great on a mantlepiece over a fireplace. Rob Scrappile
wombatie
It look terrific Paul but yes it would be one of those things that you have no idea what to do with when it's finished, I like Judy's idea of donating it to charity, or may be to a family who are down on their luck at the present time. ScollSaw Slasher
This one intrigued me as well, but as in my thread a few weeks back, it's a quandary what to do with this stuff we create. Possibly create a very high shelf above a wide doorway or wall for placement. Then if you really want to take it to the next level with hours of work, paint it up in bright colors. lawson56
Now that is an AWESOME Train.Wish I could help ya.I would say box it up and send it my way,,but it most likely wouldn't survive the trip.I,m sure as was suggested any charity would love to have it or a Museum. I printed the elephant pattern at 45% with the Adobie reader. I think it is a little too small, maybe 55% or 60% would be better. It was hard to tell what it would look like until I actually got it put together.
Gonzo
Really nice! I can't remember who "showed" this in the past week or so, but I think it's a cool project. May I ask where you got the plans? Being as I am a clown and I actually performed in the circus, (albeit a very very short time)I thought it would be cool to make. GPscroller
That is an awesome piece (or pieces) Paul. Can't help with any ideas as to what to do with it now that it is finished, but will look great where ever it ends up.
