Rockytime
Looks like you've done a bang up job of cutting an icon. Is it an Alex Fox pattern? bcdennis
bcdennis
It's a Charles Dearing pattern. Falcon
GPscroller
Beautiful cutting on a super pattern. I know what you mean, terrible when something you enjoy doing becomes a chore. A few years ago at Christmas I got so many orders that between work and cutting had no time for myself. Jeff

wombatie
Oh I know what you mean Brian, I cut so many John Wayne's when I first started doing portraits, (most of them for my husband) that I began to scream inside when someone asked me to cut one for them. You did a fabulous job now on to more exciting cuts. Marg bcdennis

MTCowpoke22
Well Done! When you are cutting them, does "burning daylight" keep running through your mind? bcdennis
Charlie E
Great job! I like the live edge too. I'd be having John Wayne nightmares. bcdennis
Scrappile
That is a great job of a great pattern. I'm not really into the movie actor thing, but I did do a couple of the Lonesome Dove ones. I may have to do this one if the pattern is still available. He was such an icon. When my nephew showed some one he worked with the picture I did of Gus McCrea and Caption Call, she asked if I could do a John Wayne one. I said sure, for $30. I thought that was more than fair, but I never heard another word about it. Guess she thought they were free. bcdennis

I bought it off of his Facebook page about a year ago. I have since heard that Wooden Teddy bear is selling his patterns now and he isn't using his Facebook page anymore so I am not sure.
