Popular Post Charlie E
I made this set of coasters as a gift for someone I went to high school with who now lives in Washington state. Long way from Alabama. She didn't like the idea of them being free so she's crocheting me a toboggan. Much cooler than money! fisch2481, munzieb, Foxfold and 11 others 13

meflick
@JTTHECLOCKMAN Now, that toboggan does not looked crocheted however. However, I think I would prefer that wooden one myself. Looks nice. @Charlie E now I am not sure you need either type of toboggan down there in Alabama. Hope it wasn't red though. Those coasters are great looking. Anybody would love to get a set of those. I think she may have gotten the better end of that deal, but I have't seen the toboggan so maybe not. I know my college son and some nieces and nephews who would love coasters that looked that good. Maybe I will try some sooner or later. Did you make a holder for them too? Well right now in Alabama I need someone to crochet me an umbrella! Almost need a boat to get to my shop. I thought about making a holder but I'm leaning towards not. My mind changes with the weather though so who knows. She's planning to give them to her husband for Christmas so I'm not in a rush. As for me getting the better deal, money wise-yes, time-probably not. RT! (you know) Edited February 20, 2019 by Charlie E

Yes they are, not very forgiving though. The Superman one was my second try. The first time I made one cut clockwise when I was supposed to be cutting counter clockwise. I'm happy with it now but the pilot holes showed up pretty badly. I mixed Red Paduk sawdust with wood glue to fill it and it looked good till it dryed and turned really dark. Oh well, a talented carpenter once told me, "If you try to make it perfect it will usually turn out pretty good."

I wondered if anyone would notice. I did the two Marvel's first and then Batman so I knew I needed to pick out another DC. Turns out there aren't that many DC hero logos that are ideal for inlay. Not at my skill level anyway. I decided on Superman but it took two tries.
