Popular Post woodduck Posted February 20, 2019 Popular Post Report Share Posted February 20, 2019 My customer wanted a cutting of an Australian FJ Holden & as Australian patterns are a bit scarce I had to make my own pattern off a photo .I hope it turned out o.k. I wanted most of the veining to be a bit thicker so after cutting with a No1 flat blade I went over the cuts again with a spiral blade & found the spiral followed the original cut very well . I guess it takes the path of least resistance & so follows the cut near perfectly. Scrappile Posted February 20, 2019 Report Share Posted February 20, 2019 Interesting, I assumed at first glance it was the Chevy one, just a different name in Australia. Then I looked up FJ Holden and found out how wrong I was. These were made 1953 - 1957, long before the little Chevy pickup thingy. Maybe that is where Chevy got their idea.
