Popular Post Tomanydogs Posted February 24, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted February 24, 2019 I got my inspiration from @Old Joe ‘s post in General scroll saw named “Truly Humbled “. I stacked the two pieces and cut once. It’s 7” wide x 3 1/4” high. Cut on western cedar. The dog sled is from a painting my mom made for me years ago. meflick, RabidAlien, wombatie and 9 others 12 Quote
spirithorse Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Very nice! A little water color paint or light air brushing and you could have some interesting Northern Lights with that wood grain! Not to say they aren't great as they are but, I immediately saw the Northern Lights in that grain and thought I'd make the suggestion. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Tomanydogs Posted February 24, 2019 Author Report Posted February 24, 2019 Great suggestion @spirithorse But I’m afraid I’d make a mess of it. Quote
Rockytime Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 They look great especially since it a painting from your mom. Tomanydogs 1 Quote
Charlie E Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Great job! I was also inspired by that post. Been looking for wood with a story to tell. Tomanydogs 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 I really like pieces like yours. Simple, tells a story, and something make me want to spend some time looking at it. I agree with the northern lights comments or it could be a blizzard is going on. Tomanydogs 1 Quote
GPscroller Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Really nice piece. The grain on both makes it pop, great job. Jeff Tomanydogs 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 I totally agree, but I am certain I do not have the talent to match up to her work... Quote

Me neither, but she has inspired me to new ideas. I have concluded that we might doodle with a pencil. Fiona doodles with a scrollsaw blade. Edited February 26, 2019 by Old Joe Tomanydogs 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted February 26, 2019 Report Posted February 26, 2019 nice piece.. It looks like your efforts just may turn the tide a little and perhaps we will see more NEW scrolling ideas develop from the influence of that UK gal. Good one Dick heppnerguy Tomanydogs 1 Quote
