Popular Post Scrappile Posted March 11, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted March 11, 2019 (edited) I love big cats and have scroll several. I really wasn't going to do anymore until I saw one @mikewix posted on Lumberjocks. I had to do it. Not sure I did as well as Mike did, but I gave it a shot. It is 1/2" thick Oak, 12" x 15'. A Charles Hand pattern called "I Love My Jag", pattern # 062. I cut the bulk of it with a 2/0 Pegas spiral, the went back over it with a 3/0 Flying Dutchman New Spiral blade to do some of the finer detain and then over it again with a #3 Pegas MG blade to make sharp corners and points in the detail where needed. I'm thinking I would like to do some staining on it, just not sure I am brave enough. Edited March 11, 2019 by Scrappile John B, amazingkevin, spotsdad and 9 others 11 1 Quote

GPscroller Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 Awesome work as always Paul. Not to much holding it together in spots like the bottom jaw, yipes! Jeff Scrappile 1 Quote
Rockytime Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 Very spectacular. Very nice work. Scrappile 1 Quote
Rob Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 Outstanding! I don't think I could bring myself to stain it. Maybe just the frame perhaps but I'd probably try an overlay frame just so I didn't stuff it up! Rob Scrappile 1 Quote
daveww1 Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 it's beautiful, fantastic job Scrappile 1 Quote
rdatelle Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 WoW Paul, you outdid yourself again. Beautiful cutting. I think that would scare me to try and do all those cuts. Scrappile 1 Quote
meflick Posted March 12, 2019 Report Posted March 12, 2019 What a beautiful project you have crafted from a great pattern. Your patience to do that kind of work I envy. It looks awesome and is stunning the way it is even without any stain. Thanks for sharing. Scrappile 1 Quote
Charlie E Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Beautiful piece of work! I love that. Scrappile 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Paul, Another one of your great cuts. I have yet to find one of yours that is not perfect. (pun intended). I have seen probably all or at least most of your work and it just reinforces my mediocre scrolling that I do. You are the best. Sure glad I have you for a friend Dick heppnerguy Scrappile 1 Quote

Foxfold Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 I loved this so much I bought the pattern. When my skill matches my ambition I'll have a go at cutting it. You've done it beautifully. Scrappile 1 Quote

mikewix Posted March 23, 2019 Report Posted March 23, 2019 (edited) Nice job Paul. It was the eyes that inspired me to do this one. I've also picked up his other cat patterns. Just need the time. Edited March 23, 2019 by mikewix Quote
