Always a good day when the new tools arrive.. Glad you like it so far.. Hopefully it'll be a great and enjoyable saw to use for you.. That style saw in my opinion is the only one to have for someone that does angle / bevel cuts.. they are awesome to work with doing those cuts with the table staying flat..

Hopefully Iggy (Scott) will have the same experience with his saw when it arrives..

Just curious how long did it take to get the saw after ordering??😀

I told Dave at D&D in January that I wanted one. He called me the first of the week and said it was available. I paid for it and he had it dropped shipped the next day. Got it in three days.  I love it.

What in the world is their hold up?

I've never been super impressed with Bear Wood.. Yeah Bushton is on my list too, LOL

Anyway, I ordered blades last year.... I also ordered blades from DND on the same day.. infact I also ordered blades from Mikes too.. same day.. It took Bear Woods 3 weeks to even mail out my order.. I had already had my order from DND and Mikes.. both orders came in the mail the same day 3 day later.. was 3.5 weeks for BW's .. I realize they are in Canada and I knew it'd take a little time to go through customs etc... but... three weeks just to get it packaged and on its way..

This wouldn't stop me from ordering again from them.. I just know that it takes them a long time to get orders out.. Much like Bushton.. I understand with Bushton because they're having issues... Never did hear why it took BW's so long to get my order in the mail.. I''ll order my stuff from DND or QTE before I would order from BW..  That's just my opinion... if you all have good experiences with BW.. by all means buy from them.. Not bad mouthing them.. just telling my experience.. Every business at some point and time has a issue from time to time.. How they handle it is how I decide to handle it next time.. LOL

I have only ordered from BW once. It took a couple of weeks to get part of my order because of backorder situation. The did finally ship the remainder but all in all, I think it was pretty close to a month to get it completed. I'll not be ordering from them again unless they have something that nobody else has. JMHO.

Ordered mine from Bear Woods.  They were taking pre-orders in January and I signed up for one from the first shipment they were going to receive.

Gave it a workout today. Sure hope you like yours as much as I like mine. The only thing that is going to seem weird to you is the tensioning.

Dave you shouldn't have to worry about the tension.  It the upper arm is parallel to the table, them the only tension is the lever on the top clamp,,, I know on my Hegner, I adjust the tension often with the back knob,,, not so with the Pegas, type saw...  Mine is a Seyco, I know I am going to wish it was a Pegas.........

Once that upper arm is parallel make note of the position of the knob at the back.. many of the Excalibur type saws this will turn on it's own over time.. Most annoying thing about my EX now.... is it untunes itself.. and pretty fast rate for me.. I posted about this and many others said theirs does the same thing.. I'm planning to add a little loctite on the threads then set it where it should be and hopefully it'll take care of that annoyance for me.. Otherwise.. I love the saw now that I've finally got it running good..Hopefully Pegas took note of this issue and redesigned it to stay put better.. Glad to hear you like the saw..
