Greg Slagle
I have to go buy some plywood for a backer tomorrow so I haven't lacquered this yet but I figured I'd post it anyway since I've nothing better to do... This pattern is by Judy Gale Roberts... I used Maple, Poplar, Walnut, Red Oak, White Oak and Cherry... Well, you're in the same boat as every intarsia artist ever in existence until they started... Pick you out a beginner pattern, get some cheaper wood like pine or cedar and give it a shot... You never know; you could be the next Judy Gale Roberts... I was on the fence about it at first too... I was very critical of myself and my projects but other intarsia looked so darn amazing to me that I had to keep at it... I still have MUCH to learn but I'm hanging in there... I like that there are not many holes to drill... lol amazingkevin and meflick

wombatie
Love it. Oh and for your information they are not Koala Bears because they are not actually bears, they are just Koala's and if they could see yours they would love it too.
