Popular Post Rob Posted April 12, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted April 12, 2019 Thanks so much to Paul aka @grampa for the fantastic pattern. This was left unframed at the customer's request. Cut with a Flying Dutchman No3 from 4mm marine ply (Baltic Birch is not available here in NZ) with 3mm painted MDF backer. Thanks for looking. wombatie Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Fabulous. Certainly great work by you and Paul, well done. I have only once been able to get my hands on some Baltic Birch and it cost me and arm and a leg. Marg Rob 1 Quote
Foxfold Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Brilliant. Great pattern, great cutting. Rob 1 Quote
Rob Posted April 12, 2019 Author Report Posted April 12, 2019 Thanks Marg. Maybe we will get Amazon one day and can order from them. I did find a local source for Poplar recently but only in six by two inch rough sawn. They use it for truck decking apparently. Anyway, I re-sawed it and ran it through the planer/thicknesser and made some of Iggy's puzzles with it. Much, much easier and quicker to cut than the rimu I had been using. I will probably use it from now on. Rob Quote
JimErn Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Great cutting, Grampa always does such great patterns, and you certainly matched his skill Rob 1 Quote
