Popular Post heppnerguy
Bernd, sent me another of his wonderful patterns and challenged me to try and cut it. Last time it was the B25 where I changed the font and heard so many people ask about it. This time it is the 1936 Duesenberg. What a beautiful car from the past. I was a little afraid the all the uprights of the grill were going to get broken because they are not supported by anything at the tops of them, but I managed to cut them without an incident. Overall I am pleased with the outcome and eventually I will make a frame for it and hang it on my computer room wall. I do not have the cutting skill of Bernd, as you all already are aware of, but for me, I came out 90 % happy with the end results. I cut it approx. 11 X 15 inches and changed to pattern to a lighter color so I could see my blade better, then when it was black and white. I did change the pattern a little but took on most of the challenges in it. I used a Pegas #3 and a #1spiral to cut this one. I have 4 days left before we have company from Germany and then we will be going on a hot air balloon ride the day she leaves and 3 days later we are off to Oregon for 2 1/2 months, so no shop time for most of the summer. One of the good parts about that trip is, I will have the opportunity to visit my good friend, Scrappile a couple of times. Rob
Great cutting. I would have chickened out and left the uprights attached at the top but it does look better done properly. Our German guest lived with us for about 9 months and went our high school in our little town in Oregon for one school year. She and her family live in Lindberg which is about 40 minutes north of Frankford. She just finished her schooling and received her masters in architecture. It was ten years ago that she lived with us and now she is ready to go on with her adult life. We are so excited to see her again. My wife and I went to Germany for her high school graduation. We visited a lot of places there and had a wonderful time meeting more the her family and enjoying many German sights. We also had another German exchange student who lives in Hamburg and we were able to visit with her and meet her extended family and was treated to many wonderful places in the North of the country also. I love the German people and the beautiful and clean country of Germany. Dick heppnerguy

Lucky2
Dick, you did an amazing job on this challenge piece, from the look of it. I'd say your up for just about any challenge he sends your way, you'll have to ask him if he has any hard ones to do.
