Popular Post Scrappile
Sunday so I am relaxing. Wanted to do something pretty easy so, decided it was time I finally cut a picture that I have had the pattern for since 2016. @joleet made it for me. Very sorry it took me so long to get it done. Life got in the way and I didn't get to it. This is a picture of my Father-in-law. Kinda a favorite picture of him in the family. I made 3 copies for family members that said they wanted one. He was kinda a tough old bird. A lineman that use to work on the high 400 foot (I think I heard they were that tall) towers with the high voltage lines. We have some pictures of him up on one sitting there eating his lunch, enjoying the view. It is a looooog ways up. I will make frames for them before I give them the pictures. Hope that doesn't take me another three years! Rockytime
Very nice. Portraits are always appreciated. A couple of months ago I cut a pattern of my daughter's in laws. He mother in law had passed away. Last week her father in law came to visit and received the cutting. It was really appreciated. Portraits keep memories alive. Scrappile
I got a plan for his grandson. My F-I-L had some quirks. One, he like to rivet things. Like he put rivets in the chrome on his car so it would not fall off, it was a big joke between the son-in-laws and male grand kids. We always have joked about Grampa and the rivets. Well his grandson is getting one of these pictures and the frame on his will have some rivets in it. He will know exactly why. heppnerguy
Paul think I did not talk with you any longer on the phone yesterday, you probably would have been too tired of me to even want to cut anything today. Nice portrait. Your usual fabulous cutting. Dick heppnerguy Scrappile

Patti answered the phone, brought it to me and said, it's Dick and rolled her eyes,,,,, like we will be a while... About the only time I talk on the phone for more the 48 seconds is when one of my kids calls or you. Must say, I talk longer to you but it is not as often. I enjoy every minute of it. heppnerguy

The eye is fine. Not sure what got into it but I believe it was something like a sun screen or something like that from my forehead. Nothing serious, just annoying like I am Dick heppnerguy Scrappile

Lucky2
Paul, it's a very nice cutting, you did a terrific job cutting it out. I worked as a linesman, it was one of my most favorite jobs. And yes, they can reach that height, and yes to the amazing view you can get while at the top of them. Every once in a while, we would use binoculars to see things better. We had the binoculars for work purposes, they were used to get a better look at the lines. So no, we weren't perverts, we mostly looked at wildlife and lakes and rivers. The lines that we worked on, were so far away from civilization, that's all there was to look at. The job I was most interested in getting, was the one where the helicopters were used to work on the lines. Very dangerous work in many ways, but it just looked to be such a cool job. Of all the jobs I've had over the years, that was the one I liked best and missed the most after leaving. Len Scrappile
