Popular Post Greg Slagle
Wow! Today marks the 8th year anniversary of my finishing of this dome clock... This is the project that gave me the confidence to start posting my work online for public viewing... My, how time does fly... I got this clock pattern from Wildwood Designs who have since been merged with Cherry Tree Toys... It took a while to finish this gem but was an absolute joy to make and especially to complete! Including a picture of the clock after I stained and Polyurethaned it... Not exactly sure which version I like better but I'm very proud of the project either way... Edit: Oh, this is 1/4" Southern Red Oak with a Walnut dial... It was stained Dark Walnut and sprayed with 3 coats of Minwax Polyurethane... spirithorse
Great work, Greg, As for preference, I like the lighter shade before the stain but, that is always subjective to different individuals. Who does the dusting of it?? It is holding up just fine... I do the dusting but I'm lazy about it so it only gets done about once a year... lol I have several others that I made to dust as well... Scrappile
Beautiful work on all, for sure. Could you use an air compressor on the dust? I'd love to build one, but what would I do with it after it was done and my wife was tired of it sitting in the middle of the living room? I have a hand crank street organ.... Such a challenge, such fun to build,,, what do I do with it now?? Greg Slagle

JTTHECLOCKMAN
I have made the center wall hanger and a few others like it. Never did the Dome. Just no room to store it for display. They do look nice though. Greg Slagle
