Popular Post koehler788 Posted May 13, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted May 13, 2019 My future daughter in law asked me to make her and my son this cross for their wedding. She is going to distress the cross and add the " nails and rope"the finished pic is what she showed me and the other is what I came up with. It is unassembled awaiting for her to do the cross. I will assemble everything after she gets her lettering and cross painted. This is not my forte and I am for sure that I won't be doing anymore large projects like this...lol Scrappile, GrampaJim, wombatie and 9 others 12 Quote

Very interesing. the plywood measures 24" x 17" I used 1/2" construction plywood an low grade 1"x 3" pine boards roughened up the smooth boards and knocked down the plywood. I didn't want to unpack my table saw for 1 cut, so I cut one of the long sides on my scrollsaw. Quote
Scrappile Posted May 14, 2019 Report Posted May 14, 2019 Must have been a real trick cutting those long straight lines with a scroll saw. Looks like it is going to be a very nice piece. Quote

All I needed was I little hand sanding with coarse sandpaper and used a straight edge to see if it was straight. Scrappile 1 Quote
