Popular Post Charlie E
Obviously inspired by Fiona Kingdon's art I thought this piece of spalted oak with worm holes had a story to tell. While cutting the scene and listening to my Daughter's Echo Dot the old hymn He Leadeth Me Came on. I think this line from the song fits the piece very well. I don't have any artistic ability so I used 3 pieces of clip art to get an outline of the ship, lighthouse, and birds. It is about 6" X 11". Didn't mean to fish for a compliment. I just really can't draw a good stick man, or write neatly for that matter. Very envious of people who can draw well. Don't think that's something that can be taught when you've got nothing to build on.
spirithorse
Absolutely beautiful! I think part of your artistic ability is shown by the dimensions you used. I probably would have made the images larger, there-by possibly over-powering the project images for the sake of easier cutting. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Rockytime
I love the old song. I especially like the choice of wood. The grain almost looks like an open sea. Charlie E and amazingkevin 1

Foxfold
Your artistic talent is in how you chose the wood and decided what to cut. I think it's a work of art and I'd proudly have that on my wall. Charlie E and amazingkevin 1
