I think I am about to get clamps for my Ex and the dewalt wouldn't hurt either. I am confused with the Dewalt since it is tensioned up front ( like the little girl who wants to know if mom wash dishes before what does the dishwasher do. With the Dewalt if you get the lever what would the lever do?

I was going to get a set for my Dewalt but ended up selling it. I was going to put the EX set on it because of how easy it is to flip the lever over turning the wheel. I figured that I could set the tension once with the wheel after a blade change and then just use the lever until the next change. To me, it was just easier and having both saws set up the same way made sense. Muscle memory and all.

Thanks Ray now I got how it works with Dewalt.  I go back and forth between the two saws and muscle memory is true I never know to turn or push and release.

Nothing changes on the DeWalt except the color of the clamps. They work exactly the same. I feel I get a better grip on the blade with the Pegas, but it could just be newer clamps.

That's quite true if you buy the Pegas set made for the Dewalt. But, the other set will work too. I prefer the lever over the wheel. JMHO.

Had me buggered to for awhile Paul. I wasn't sure if the washers should go between the arm and the clamps or on the outside. There was much more side to side movement with the Pegas then with the original. In the end I reckoned it would be much trouble trying to get those tiny washers between and slip the bolt through at the same time so put them on the outside. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Sometimes the easy road is the right road ;)
