Some of you are probably already familiar with this lady's work but I just stumbled onto it. Beautiful stuff. I'm curious if she cut this on an angle, on one side it looks like you're looking at it from the left, vise versa on the other. Hello Charlie, she does some beautiful work, some of her work is amazing. To answer your question about cutting on an angle, I would have to say no. With this type of cutting and as with most others, you cut straight through the piece of wood. You have to, to get the effect your looking for. If it was cut at an angle, the scene wouldn't be as clear and easy to see. Because if cut at an angle, the wood in the background hides the scene. Yo wouldn't be able to see the picture, unless the cuts were a lot wider. And then the picture would be ruined, because it would just look like a bunch of holes when looked at certain ways...
