GrandpawB Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Can anyone advise this newbie how to scroll saw a military portrait? I'd like to try to scroll saw my son"s Air Force portrait, but if I remove all the dark areas ( and there is alot of it) It takes away his lapel insignias, his nameplate and his ribbons. Also I'd like to show some detail in his cap so he doesn't look like a "cone head". Is there any how-to books out there that would address suit coats? Any advice is appreciated. Quote
Vector01 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Two suggestions 1) Post the picture in "Pattern Requests" and ask for some help making the pattern. 2) Download Gimp (free) then go to the "Village University" and check out the great tutorials on making portrait patterns. If your serious on learning how to make portrait patterns then option #2 is the way to go. Quote
