You really do a top notch job on these airplane and car pictures.... That is awesome.

One of my favorite uncles was a belly gunner during WWII in one of the like bombers.  He didn't see any action, he spent his time patrolling the coast line of South America.  He gave me and my brothers his leather helmet and googles when he got out.  We had that for years, played all sorts of things with it from card board box warplanes we built, to hooking it into a surplus army helmet we had so it could be out race car helmet...  Sure wish I had that leather helmet still.  I don't know where it ended up.

The shellac is a sealer coat that also lifts any fibers even after previous sanding. I give it a very light sanding to clear those fibers away and allows for a smoother finish with the lacquer. Both lacquer and shellac dry very fast too.
