flarud
I asked for a pattern a few weeks ago. A "brother" from a motorcycle forum that I have been a part of for close to 15 years passed away a few weeks ago. We have several get together's throughout the year. People come from all over the U.S. Our big one is next week. I wanted to make something and present it to his wife at the reunion. Mahendra made me a very nice pattern that I attempted to cut twice. Neither came out very good. I tried again tonight and I think this one is ok. I will place it onto a darker backer board and make the backer big enough for everyone at the reunion to sign it before giving it to his wife. I ended up using a flat blade after failing using a spiral. So I cut the pattern out on a smaller piece of plywood and glued it onto a bigger piece so that I didn't have such a huge piece to keep turning. I didn't like that you could see the edge of the smaller piece on the bigger piece so I trimmed it out. I'm not loving it but it looks better than seeing the edge of the smaller piece. We will all sign within the trimmed out area. Spiral blades on bigger pieces would definitely be easier,,,, once I can get the hang of using them! Thanks again Mahendra!
