Rockytime
Does anyone know anything about this magazine? It is delivered as a PDF file. I ran across it on Steve Good's site. There does not appear to have a price of subscription just says order it with credit card or PayPal. OCtoolguy

John B
They did have a facebook page. It started out as a quarterly, hard copy but I think only a couple of editions were printed. OCtoolguy
meflick
You can try to reach out to @leescrolls he is the owner/operator for that magazine. Here is a direct link to their website: https://scrollerschoicemag.wixsite.com/home It has the "Spring 2019" edition showing. It notes that like JohnB said, that right now they are not able to send out print copies, but you can purchase and get PDFs. I got one copy once a year or so back. Right now, I would probably buy any single PDF copy that I might be interested in but wouldn't "subscribe." You can see his full details/explanation on the website. You can see the back issues that they have done here: https://scrollerschoicemag.wixsite.com/home/buy-back-issues I understand that it would be very difficult to try and get a magazine up and off the ground, I would hope that they can make it work but they have struggled for a while now. kmmcrafts
Honestly, PDF subscription is probably the way to go these days.. I've always wanted the others to go PDF.. at least for their patterns.. Then instead of stacks of magazines.. you can have stacks of hard drives, LOL OCtoolguy

There is a ton of patterns I'd like to buy on a couple different websites.. but they only offer to mail you paper copies.. I then would have to scan them and file them with my electronic files of pattern storage.. I have around 30,000 patterns.. yeah that's a lot.. and paper copies of that many is just stupid in this day and age.. BTW.. I keep more than 3 back-ups of my patterns too.. Had a hard drive crash once and lost a boat load of great patterns.. that taught me to keep a back-up hard drive as well as a burned copy on disc and a thumb drive copy as well.. I do keep a copy outside of my home too in case a fire burned up my stuff, LOL.. Maybe over kill but not loosing thousands of patterns again, LOL OCtoolguy

Do a walk through your apartment, house and video everything with a 360 picture of every room. Any valuables, have someone turn them to their model tags, and video those. Store multiple copies outside of you place. If there is a fire, flood, tornado, you have a complete inventory of everything in your place for the insurance company. NC Scroller
Not to hijack this thread but friends recently had their house burn down. It was a total loss. He had back up drives, memory sticks and even had them in a safe. Because the fire was so hot nothing survived. Bottom line the only safe storage is on the cloud. Safes are rated for burglary and fire resistance. Most home improvement safes are bottom of the line ratings on burglary and can't handle fire. There are specific safes for fire. As the price goes up you can find combination safes that are highly rated for fire and burglary. The top rated are basically bank vaults. Renting the smallest bank box is going to give you access and a high rated safe. If you use cloud storage, do your homework on their hack security and encryption. I would even go as far as buying encryption software for personal sensitive information. A top notch security professional is going to ask questions to match your needs for the right safe. Don't buy a chest safe, they just walk out with it and take their time breaking into it. If you buy your own safe, bolt it to the floor. Easier to bring a cart and take the safe they get caught banging away at it in an owners home. Another option is to store one of those drives, memory sticks, discs, etc. at a friend's house, family member's house or in a safety deposit box at a bank if you have one already. Now, if a major natural disaster hits in your area, and those friends or family also live in the area, it still might not matter if you all get nailed. teachnlearn
If the entire area gets nailed your probably going to be dealing with FEAMA. RJF OCtoolguy
