Frank Pellow
Does anyone know of scrollsaw patterns that are based on any of Charlie Harper's art. It seems that there should be. I can find quilting patterns, needlework patterns, and tiles, but no scrollsaw patterns. I asked this question in the Pattern Requests part of Scrollsaw Village a week ago, but did not get an answer. I'm posting the question again here in because I believe that more folks look at this sub-forum. OCtoolguy
Foxfold
It's not a pattern per se, but simple enough to put your own bridges in it to keep it together perhaps. Not sure if this helps any. CHARLEY HARPER.pdf Edited July 15, 2019 by Foxfold OCtoolguy

That gave me a clue to look for Charlie Harper Colouring Books on the web and I found several. OCtoolguy

It came from a Christmas Stocking actually I put it through Inkscape and did a 'Trace Bitmap' to get it. Glad you found what you were looking for. Frank Pellow
Thinking about this some more, I'm going to attempt Charlie's birrrdbath: using segmentation. It's going to be quite a challenge for me. OCtoolguy and danny 1

I'm not sure what the rules are for sharing (for free of course) a pattern based upon a painting done by someone else. If someone in the know can enlighten me, I would appreciate it. I, myself, would never attempt to sell such a pattern but, maybe, it's OK if I give it away. Sycamore67
Unfortunately, I am certain that the picture is copyrighted and as such sharing even for free is not allowed. When in doubt, I do not share art work.
RabidAlien
I would get in touch with him (if you know the name, its easy to find a website or FB page, and shoot off an email or IM) and make sure you have his permission, first. If you sell stuff, y'all can hammer out those details too. But for art, I always try to find the artist first, unless its already knockoff of something else (Star Wars characters, LotR, etc). Good advice, but the artist, Charlie Harper, is dead. RabidAlien and OCtoolguy

His estate may still have licensing and copyright, though. Tolkien is dead as well, but his descendants will not allow anyone to write any stories set in Tolkien's universe nor reference any characters. Their lawyers are fairly cutthroat, from what I've heard. OCtoolguy
