Popular Post Scrappile
Well I finally got something off the saw. With table saw upgrades, some jigs to work on, outside work, I have only spent a hour or so a day a few days a week on the saw. But I have this one cut and have another picture I have been working on for my son about 1/2 cut. This a Charles Hand pattern. I did the Ornate tiger, this one seemed to go slower for some reason,, not more difficult. I like having these on a saw. I enjoy cutting them. The next one will be the ornate howl. meflick
Awesome work Paul. I cannot fathom drilling all those holes, then cutting all those places AND enjoying it. but I am always in awe of the beauty of them and the patience of those of you who do them. Thanks for showing. Scrappile
Thanks you all for the nice comments. I do not understand myself why I like cutting these. I think it is because they are pretty easy cutting, no real fragile places. You have to take some care, but not like when cutting blades of grass or hairs. Good thing I like it, I got orders last night from wife and daughter-in-law that I have to cut another or there will be a family crisis. Guess the Hootie owl will have to wait a while. I also figured out why I like to do pieces that take some time. I love scrolling but I hate preparing the piece to start scrolling. Getting the pattern the size I want, getting the pattern glued together, prepping the wood, fastening the pattern to the wood. I just do not enjoy that part.
