Box fan filter

Recommended Posts

Having memory issues since having chemo sometime ago.

Anyway took my box fan filter off and cleaned everything.

Now I can't remember which side the new filter goes on.

Have search internet but guess I'm making it to complicated.

Would really appreciate your help to the simple question of Which side does the filter go on?

Thanks

Which side of the fan or which side of the filter. There is an arrow on the side of filters showing the way the air flows. RJF

As I said, I have 2 thin filters on each side with the air flow in the correct direction. They seem to be doing a great job judging by the build up of dust on the filter. I vacuum them off every once in a while. I think I paid less than $5 for the four filters in 20 x 20 x 1 inch size. Obviously for that price they are nothing to write home about but I figured that when using all four at once, they are doing a pretty decent job.

General filters may not have any outside cardboard. The furnace filters with outside cardboard has an arrow printed on the side showing air flow direction. I grab these and tape them to a box fan. RJF

The way I Used To Do It is Box fan on my left with Filter secure to Fan with Fan blowing Away from me.

Little fan on my Right blowing slowly across the Saw Table into the Square Filter.  Worked for Many Years....UNTIL.....

I found this set up....  Can't find the pic, but uses PCV 3/4" Pipe using a 'Small Shop vac type.   I Love it....  Danny  :+}
