Popular Post John B
Everybody has their own way of doing things, this is mine. I shrink wrap the puzzles with a card with a hint and the number of pieces. If I ramp up, I will include an email address and some other info. I have taken pics of the front and rear of the puzzles. crupiea, barb.j.enders, JimErn and 8 others

Dee
I also use shrink wrap for my puzzles. I also add a bag with a zip closure to keep the pieces in after they are unwrapped. wombatie, Lucky2 and John B

JT, I just did a google search for choking hazard images and printed a sheet of them out like a program for printing return address labels so several on one sheet of paper then cut them out.. This is the one I use.. 1 hour ago, JimErn said: see this, all you wanted to know and more http://mohawkglobal.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/labeling-childrens-products.pdf Jim that's some good info there... Just always wondered to who's digression the " intended user " falls under... I don't intend for my puzzles to be sold / given to a 2-3 year old.. but someone else's idea of that may be different... that is why I include the printed paper warning in each of my puzzle packages.. While the puzzles are more of a display piece.. you just never really know what the buyer as in mind for the intended use.. Just my two cents.. JTTHECLOCKMAN
That is why I do not make toys or anything for kids. Today is a sue happy society. I will raise that age number when listing mine but they are not for kids anyway. Good idea to include something because the pieces are small. kmmcrafts
kmmcrafts
Back when I looked for the warning images.. I could only find the 3 year old one.. Id like it to say 5-6.. but anyway, I figured something is better than nothing at all.. and for the most part.. it's mostly 3 and under that like to put everything in their mouths anyway.. Though there are those a little older.. either way a parent should heed the warning IF their child is more prone to putting things in their mouths.. Maybe it shouldn't give an age at all.. just a choking warning..
John B
10 hours ago, Miran said: Maybe a real newbie question but how do you shrink wrap your stuf? G'day Miran, I have an Impulse sealer and a roll of shrink plastic. The plastic comes folded in half on the roll, effectively the bottom or one side of the package is preformed. I place the item between the folded plastic, seal the other 3 edges and using a heat gun shrink it tight. You can use bags, but they are quite a bit dearer and they leave a lot of material bulged up around the edges. I like to show my puzzles standing. The rolls of plastic make it possible to wrap larger items. wombatie and Miran 1
Rockytime
That system makes good sense. John B

If you use an impulse sealer like JohnB, buy centerfold film like he uses. Either 45 or 60 gauge will do the trick. If I really get into making and selling my puzzles again, I had thought of placing a small draw string calico bag, in with the puzzles. This I imagined being printed or stamped with a logo and contact info. You can pick them up for less then a dollar a piece and the more you order the cheaper. Dee
Great John B. But my baggies just cost about 3 cents and I print my own cards to enclose with the bag and puzzle or game. 100 % of my puzzles go to the Toys for Tots kids so I need to cut corners when ever I can. Then used my old seal a meal to close and trim the seams. My hair dryer shrinks the wrap just fine. Saves me a bundle and that makes me happy. shrink wrap here https://uspackagingandwrapping.com/heat-shrink-wrap/pvc-shrink-wrap/pvc-shrink-wrap-rolls-500-ft.html they also have sealers and systems, shrink bags and tubes and other things.
