Excellent work. I know padauk can turn very dark, did you treat it with anything to minimize that effect?

Thanks.

No, I di not treat it with anything special.  I've seldom used Padauk and I was unaware that it can darken, but I guess that I am not surprised.  Oh well, I can always hope that this does not darken too much.

There really isn’t anything you can do to stop it from turning brown. I have a plaque I made with Padauk. It was a bright orange when I cut it a few years ago. Now, it’s a dark brown.

So, it appears that my decision to match the orange padauk with a contrasting brown wood (roasted maple) will prove to be a bad choice.  ☹️

Based on my limited experience with padauk (I made a couple of end tables with that wood) and purchased finish with a UV blocker. Today they look like Brazilian rosewood. Nice but not what I was looking for.  Live and learn.
