woodduck Posted August 17, 2019 Author Report Share Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) A lot of towns have these sheds now & it is somewhere for men to go for companionship & use the facilities to make something or just sit down & have a coffee & a yarn .We have a lovely big workshop with al the machinery & tools that you could want as well as a kitchen & dining room & also a wood storage area.We are funded by grants & whatever funds we can raise ourselves eg sausage sizzels etc.We have all sorts of people attending some might have a disability & some may be ex tradesmen & we all try to help & support each other. Men's shed are awesome we have one locally too, I went inside a couple of years ago and they have lots of equipment plus they had a cheap scroll saw I suggested that they upgrade to a better one and then more people would be interested. Marg Thanks Marg, I am hoping to sell these on the day. I know what you mean Marg our shed had a cheap scroll saw also so I donated my good first saw. A couple of blokes have given it a quick go but a lot of them seem to be a bit scared of it. I am sure they would love it if they only gave it a try.
